Claro Walnut Live-Edge Serving Platters

A pair of oversized serving platters made from a single Northern California Claro walnut slab. Each platter was designed around the natural live edge and individual grain pattern of the slab, with a routed juice groove and hand-forged iron handles. Finished to highlight the dramatic figure, color and natural character of the walnut.

**First platter - with interesting grain pattern** — It's funny how you don't really know when you're first making these things which one you might love the most. Well it's definitely this one - I really like the grain pattern and that dark knot area - plus the strip of sapwood that really revealed itself after finishing.
