We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, custom cabinetry, built-ins, and finish carpentry projects where attention to detail matters. Whether we’re remodeling a room, designing custom storage, or building furniture from scratch, our goal is simple: create work that looks like it belongs in your home and will still look good years from now.
We handle both the design and construction side of every project. Using 3D modeling software, we can show you exactly how cabinetry, furniture, and remodel layouts will look before work begins. For projects requiring permits, we also prepare construction drawings and coordinate with engineers and local building departments.
From the first design sketch to the final punch list, you’ll work directly with the person building the project. No sales staff, no project handoffs - just careful planning, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

Meet Stuart
Hi, I'm Stuart Slack, owner of Sequoia Peak Construction.
I started Sequoia Peak Construction to provide homeowners with a more personal remodeling experience. As a small owner-operated company, I work directly with clients from the initial design through the final details of construction. There are no salespeople, project managers, or layers of communication - just a direct relationship with the person responsible for the work.
My background combines remodeling, finish carpentry, custom woodworking, and design. I enjoy projects that require careful planning and attention to detail, whether that's a bathroom renovation, custom built-in cabinetry, or a complete room transformation.
Before starting Sequoia Peak Construction, I spent 15 years at Apple, where I worked on software and product development projects, including helping create Find My iPhone. That experience reinforced the importance of thoughtful design, careful planning, and attention to detail - principles that continue to guide every project I build today.
Based in Los Gatos, I proudly serve homeowners throughout the South Bay who value quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and clear communication. Whether I'm building custom cabinetry, remodeling a bathroom, or creating a piece of furniture from scratch, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels like it belongs in your home and will stand the test of time.
When I'm not working, you'll often find me in the woodshop, playing a round of golf, biking a trail in the Santa Cruz Mountains - or spending time with family exploring Northern California and the world.
